Workplace Grief
Processing grief is key to employee health and productivity. When a workplace tragedy or loss occurs, I’m the person you want to call to implement a plan of recovery. Through coaching, we work together to build and nurture trusting relationships, create a supportive and safe working environment, and strengthen communication among workers at all levels. I work with teams and individuals as long as necessary to process feelings and to foster a positive outlook that leads to success and growth.
If you are currently working with a business coach, I will work alongside them for a period of time until the business is in recovery mode. Ask them to contact me.
Healthcare Worker Grief
Are you weary, weighted down, tired? Are you not fully present for your clients? Are you distracted in your sessions? Are you pushing aside your own grief?
I coach therapists and other coaches who are grieving a loss of their own by providing them with a space to heal so they can focus on their own recovery as they continue to work with their clients. Adding grief to the stress of being a healer can be a heavy burden to bear alone, and I provide space for the healer to heal.
Individual Grief
I’m Grieving
I work with individuals and groups and offer interactive presentations for those who are grieving any loss. I’ve been there. One day life is going well, and, suddenly, it’s not. Perhaps someone you love dies or leaves you, or you lose your job, or your home, or your car, or your pet, and you just sit there in shock, not knowing what you will do next or how you will go on. You may feel like you’re up against a brick wall.
Getting on the other side of the wall is vital to recovery, and it’s difficult to do alone. Thinking and trusting that you will one day find a new normal that works for you, despite how you feel now, will lead you to recovery, and my coaching will get you there. Newly Diagnosed
Now what?
When the diagnosis comes, sometimes at first there’s a little relief because now at least you know what you’re dealing with. However, often with that relief comes the fear, the shock, the anger, the depression, the “why me” question. I’ve been there and know that a diagnosis of acute or chronic illness is scary and life-changing. I coach people on how to live well with an illness, how to deal with the difficult feelings that come with it, how to talk about it with family members and friends, and how to figure out what’s right for you to do to find the highest quality life you can and to live it to the fullest, despite your limitations. Contact me here to schedule a complimentary session to discuss working with me.
Caregiving Support
Being a caregiver is often exhausting, demanding, and frustrating, yet it can also be rewarding, fulfilling, and satisfying. I coach individuals and groups on caregiving support and also offer workshops and presentations with caregiving tips on how to make caregiving easier on you and your loved one, how to look for signs that you’re burning out, and how to manage the most difficult days. I have both had a caregiver myself, and I have been a caregiver to my father after his Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
For more than eight years, I led Caregiver Support Groups both in my church and in my coaching business, and I developed skills and techniques that compliment my Coaching.
Mental Fitness (Positive Intelligence) Coaching
Challenge yourself to take the assessment to see what parts of you are interfering with your life. Then schedule a time with me to learn more about enrolling.
Mental Fitness coaching is one of the most popular types of coaching on the horizon, thanks to Shirzad Chamine and his best-selling book, Positive Intelligence. I offer this incredible program to you as an individual or into your workplace or group. Going through this program enables you to identify what is getting in the way of where you want to go and how to overcome those parts of yourself so that you can operate at your best and succeed without getting in your own way. I am trained as a PQ Coach and offer this either alone as a 7-week program or as a part of your six-month coaching commitment.
Motivational Speaking
Sharing my insights and learnings gives me joy, and I am always eager for the chance to speak to groups of any size. I draw on my own story, when appropriate, of surviving trauma and living to thrive despite kidney disease. I tailor my talks to my audience and challenge listeners to be creative in making their own world a better place.
